Rhonda Sue Kimbler
Russell County Middle School

Photo:  My son gave me this book for Mother's Day.  It is by one of my favorite authors, Nicholas Sparks.

Hello and welcome to my web page.  My name is Rhonda Kimbler, and I teach language arts at the Sixth Grade Center.  I began my teaching career at my home school, Union Chapel Elementary.  It was there where I attended school through 8th grade.  After that, I attended the Russell County High School, what is now the Russell County Middle School.  My college years were spent at Lindsey Wilson College and Western Kentucky University.   I have taught all content areas in a variety of classrooms.    However, I must say this has been the most interesting and rewarding position to date.  I am certified in Elementary Education with an English emphasis for K-12.  I have a Master's Degree in Language and a Rank I in Principalship.   I live with my son, Bryson, on the same farm where I grew up.   I am engaged to John Dean Harris (Fish and Wildlife Officer in Adair County).  Spending time outdoors, on the farm, and with my family brings me great joy.    I believe in keeping family memories alive, and one of the best ways to do this is through writing.  I write almost daily about my life, events, or just about the weather.   Writing is a Kimbler family tradition.  My son is continuing this tradition by writing books that we are currently researching publishers for.  The seeds for writing are planted at an early age in order to have a fruitful harvest.

Motivational Thought:   The moon was placed in the night sky to remind us that even during the darkest hours, we are never really in the dark.  The light of the sun is always there.   We just have to seek the light!!
