Salem Elementary School

Welcome to fourth grade!  I'm so excited to be your math and science teacher this year at SES!  This will be my second year teaching at SES, and I look forward to working with each of you this year.  I worked as a substitute teacher here in the county for four years.  I also worked as a RTI assistant and afterschool teacher here at SES during the 2014/15 school year, including subbing for Mrs. C'Ann Hammond while she was on maternity leave.  I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Lindsey Wilson College, and recently began working on a master's degree from Eastern Kentucky University.  I love learning and being at school, and my hope is that I can help you to love learning and being at school, too.  I want you to love being in my class.  We'll be learning a lot, doing many fun, exciting hands-on activities, experiments, and projects.
Parents, I want you to love your children being in my classroom as well.  I enjoy working with kids and helping them be their very best.  If you ever need to get ahold of me for anything, please feel free to send me an email (link above) any time or call the school (270-866-6197) during my planning time (1:00pm - 1:45pm).
Outside of school, I spend a great deal of time with my nephews, Alex and Noah, and with other family and friends.  I love reading and writing, and have even written a few stories of my own.  I also love traveling and exploring new places, playing video games (Minecraft is a favorite of mine), watching movies, and drawing.
Together, I hope we can each make this the best school year ever!!!
