To determine eligibility, complete an application within 5 days of your child's enrollment and return to school. Only (1) application per family is required. You can download an application by clicking here.
If you do not initially meet income requirements but have a change in financial status, you may re-apply at anytime during the school year. Contact the Food Service Cashier at your child's school or the Food Service Director.
SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS
If your child requires a special diet, simply provide a doctor's nutritional orders to the school nurse. Your child will receive meals based on the doctor's recommendation.
Federal Guidelines for a Free/Reduced meal require students to take a minimum of (3) of (5) meal components in the quantities shown:
BREAKFAST Requirements:
Milk (1% or less)......... 1/2 pint (8 oz.) Fruit/Vegetable...................... 1/2 cup
Two servings from one of the following or one from each group:
Bread or Bread Alternative...... 1 oz. Meat or Meat Alternative......... 1 oz.
LUNCH Requirements:
Meat or Meat Alternative...........2 oz. Vegetable or Fruit.....2 oz. or 3/4 cup Bread or Bread Alternative....... 1 oz. (8 oz per week) Milk (1% or less)...... 1/2 pint (8 oz.)
