What are Family Resource Centers?
The Family Resource Center (FRC) is part of the Kentucky Education Reform Act of 1990. The FRC's main goal is to help remove barriers that prevent children from learning. The FRC also assist families with "hurdles" of our society. These hurdles may deal with violence, joblessness, incarceration of a family member, health issues, lack of needed school supplies, clothing or any situation that would affect a student's performance in school.
